Becoming Conscious Of Your Personal Image - Your Brand And Identity

The elements we're made of make up the nature of who we are. However we choose to display ourselves, know that you have the power to create whatever you can imagine. With enough time and discipline the skills you acquire will mold you into the image you wish to create.

We all have an image. An image of how we see yourselves and also how others perceive us. The beautiful thing about it is if your conscious of the effects, you can create any image you like in your mind or others. I could say I'm a photographer and end it at that. But I’m aware I can create a vision beyond a man with a camera. That's why I see myself as an artist and a business owner or whatever fits my current view of the human being I am in this present moment. As I become more and more aware of how I can control the ways in which I see myself I come to realize that I have the power to create any image I desire. Just like any work of art I create, it's up to me to make it a reality.

Now of course there's some things we can't fully control. Other people's perceptions of you are not your full responsibility. You do have some power of how much you can influence anthers in seeing you a certain way and that's where the creative process of branding and image creation comes into play. The branding aspect of any business is the portrayal of how your vision comes across in the mind of your followers and fans.

It's quite a long process finding out who you are in this world but eventually we come so understand that who we are is always changing. No need to be attached to any of it when it's time to let go and create a new one.

Now it's important to know that everything you do or not do will show and give an idea of who you are. Whatever content you put out there or photos you show to the public gives others an idea of who you are. Without being conscious of it, you can create an image that is not favorable to your ideal vision. Know that everything you do counts but also remember that once a certain reputation is set, it will take a lot of effort to push it in another direction. Being mindful of the process will ease off some of the inevitable obstacles along the way.

Becoming completely conscious of your image takes work but if it's done in an authentic way then your half way passed all the psychological issues most people face with putting their brand out there for all the eye balls to see. Faking something that your not or pretending to be anything that doesn't truly resonate with you is setting yourself up for torture in the long run. By the end of it either your fans will find you out or you'll simply just abandon the whole thing altogether.

Best to always start with yourself! How do your carry that body you live in? How do your come dressed for certain events or occasions? Are there any things you would like to improve upon your self image at this moment? Be aware of your attitude and how you communicate with others. Just that alone will set you up as the first indicator of other people's impressions on you.

Are you walking around with holes in your pants or rocking a tailor made suit? Both can be perfectly alright given the circumstances but if your rocking that suit desperately wanting to pull on those tattered jeans then by all means don't deny yourself of what your authentic self is and dress in a way that speaks your true self.

Do you love fashion or do you adore covering weddings? Or maybe music artists or even products? After choosing a niche you can even go further and see what kind of weddings or events you like the most. Digging into your likes and dislikes will help you figure out where you are to be in business. If your surrounded in places you don't like being in them your bound to feel lonely and miserable no matter how much you try to please others or lie to yourself. Finding what you love doing most gives you an idea of where you belong. Sooner or later if you continue to do the things you love most, you'll attract others with the same mindset as your own. Further reinforcing the community that you are now a part of which in turn helps you feel like your belonging to something greater that speaks truth in your heart.

Most businesses get all scientific with their marketing and branding but in the beginning it's best to approach this whole concept with the way you see yourself in the pictures of your life. Always be open to learn from the experiences you get along the way. See what works and get rid of the things that don't. Remember that branding and image creation is being changed and morphed into new identities all the time. So have fun with the process and give yourself room to experiment with the way your seen by others or how your company is being perceived by your fans. Just remember to always strive in making it a masterpiece!
