The Idea of the genius has always intrigued me. For years I have studied the minds of great people, who they become and the legacy they leave behind. For a couple of weeks now, the field of fashion and its whole aesthetic has been my total obsession. The look, the feel, the air of grace and precision has got me itching to work with fellow designers and brands.
Before ever looking into the whole fashion world, I tended to have the impression that it's people and atmosphere was filled with ego manics and narcissistic personalities. But of course you will always find the gold when you chip away at the rocks long enough.
Searching for a great french film to watch on a Sunday evening I came across the film "Coco Before Chanel" which caught my attention right away. Again the classic story of the a person of great talent but little belief in one's self was the tune played by the piper. With a little romance to boot, it made this film not just on Coco's talent but on the people who helped her along the way.
It never fails to get the message home that hard work and perseverance coupled with great talent and a vision will create the legacy that is Chanel.
